A bit unraveled at the moment...

My lovely sweater was ready to sew together, all was well until I spied a telltale loop on the back of a sleeve--gasp!--a dropped stitch in the sleeve's raglan shaping. I had to frog back my already blocked knitting to the 14thof24rightsiderowraglanshaping!!! Ack! I can hear the knitting faeries giggling and saying, "April Fools!" Little buggers!

Oh well, at least I have the day free until bell practice. It's lightly snowing and cozy in the house. I'll light the fire, have my diet Vernor's and re-knit the sleeve shaping...
I had such a nice day by the fire working on the sweater. It was very quiet and I had some music on. The cocoa tasted extra good on this cold, damp day. Eevee was content to be close to me near the fireplace. I sewed the pieces together, wove in ends, and now I'm working on the band. I even picked up the stitches all the way around and didn't have to frog. Herr Kerbis, Helga, and Tomten are keeping the knitting faeries away from me today! I hope they don't come during bell practice!!

Today is the day to wear red as a reminder to take care of your heart health! With that in mind...I'm sending heartfelt wishes to you. Jim brought home red dress pins and bracelets for Angelika and for me to wear today.
The basket and heart are from a Fiber Trends pattern. They are quick and easy to knit. I felted them in my kitchen sink. I have red and pink oddments left over from other shop projects, so this is a fun stash buster.
The Montauk is coming along quickly. I love how the yarn is knitting up. I'd picked out buttons last week and I thought I'd go with a favorite button of mine. I've used it before and you can see why I like it so much. I really like Kim Dolce's designs. They are simple, but stylish and when you pick the right yarn--well, it's knitting zen. St. B. was like that, too. I enjoyed knitting it and the yarn was like icing on the cake.
We're expecting temps in the 40s today, which is quite a change for us. It's been a long winter and I know it's not over. March is the second snowiest month up here. My car needs an oil change and wash today. I'm sure there will be a line, but I'll have knitting with me today.
Today is Friendship Friday at the shop, and Seamus will be my little guest.

Oooommmmm...

I'm still in the yoga zone. I wore earplugs today. I think the music's too loud. I can still hear, though. I also took off my glasses, which helped me focus on my positions and not my reflection!

The Montauk is coming along fine. I added a couple of rows to the beginning of the body. The chunky yarn is perfect for the small, I'll get a little more room for the girls without it being over sized. I gave up the Kilimanjaro because I was drawing a blank knitting the lace, and it's really easy. It's okay, I'll get to it soon. St. B. is a big hit and I'm wearing it to coffee tomorrow so Zinnea Bouquet can see it.
Gnomette's friend, Seamus O'Gnome, is knitted but needs his felting bath today.
Today's the first day in a long time I don't have to be anywhere! Yea!

Well, all I can say is that I lasted almost 10 days without buying any yarn. However, I did use a gift card, and with my discount the price dropped dramatically. It's Araucania Nature Wool Chunky in color 206 and yes, I have a project in mind, thank you very much! Doesn't the colorway look great on me? Cripes! I couldn't wait to wear the stuff! The pattern I'll use is Montauk by Kim Dolce. It's a nice little cardi and I'll have fun with this project when I finish a few projects. It's in the queue. The second Aran Tam is coming along. I started the cables at class today. Love the red. Just pretend the hat in the photo is red...
