Happy Roc Day!

A poem by Herrick:
St. Distaff's Day, or The Morrow After Twelfth-day
Partly work and partly play
You must on St. Distaffs Day:
From the plough soon free your team;
Then cane home and fother them:
If the maids a-spinning go,
Burn the flax and fire the tow.
Bring in pails of water then,
Let the maids bewash the men.
Give St. Distaff' all the right:
Then bid Christmas sport good night,
And next morrow every one
To his own vocation.

Roc on!

I know I'm a bit late with Roc Day, but I like this little tidbit for all you spinning fans out there. My buddy, Joanne is having spinners over to celebrate. I'm with them in spirit!

I'm going through my knitting bags and organizing my tools and project yarn. Every once in a while I have to do that. The larger bags get so darned heavy. Right now the little projects are another tam in red and a gnome. I can easily take those with me to class tomorrow!
